This Munich Helles is a masterclass in patient brewing, showcasing a deep, elegant sensory profile born from slow lager fermentation. On the nose, a welcoming, rich aroma of sweet Pilsner malt takes center stage, reminiscent of fresh-baked bread and light honey, complemented by a delicate, low-key floral and spicy whisper of traditional German hops. The palate is wonderfully rounded and smooth, balancing clean, grainy-sweet malt depth with a gentle, soft bitterness that keeps the sip beautifully balanced. It concludes with a clean, dry, and thoroughly refreshing finish, capturing the ultimate relaxing experience.
Appearance. Pale gold with brilliant, sparkling clarity. Crowned by a dense, persistent, creamy white head that leaves delicate, soapy lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Clean and moderately intense. Dominated by premium Pilsner malt character displaying sweet, grainy, and fresh-baked bread aromas. Supported by a low, elegant floral and herbal hop aroma. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no esters, diacetyl, or sulfur.
Taste. The initial impression is soft and malty-sweet. Pronounced flavors of fresh grain and bread dough from the malt dominate, backed by a very low, supportive spicy hop flavor. The bitterness is low but sufficient to balance the malt, leading into a smooth, dry, and clean finish with a lingering soft maltiness in the aftertaste. No harshness or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with moderate, finely beaded carbonation. Exceptional smoothness and a well-lagered, creamy texture that coats the palate without feeling heavy. Alcohol warmth is imperceptible.
