Atom Particle Collision is a vibrant Hazy IPA that utilizes a grist of Extra Pale malt and oats to create a remarkably soft, pillowy platform. This textural foundation supports an aromatic explosion of tropical fruit, dominated by bright citrus and lush stone fruit notes. Distinctive fermentation esters contribute a playful bubblegum quality, while specific hop selections provide a delicate, light vanilla finish. The sensory experience is defined by its juicy profile, where the massive hop presence provides intense fruit flavor with a restrained, smooth bitterness, leading to an off-dry and immensely drinkable finish that emphasizes depth over sharp edges.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (4-5 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that creates a luminous shine. Topped with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head showing excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aromatics featuring mango, passionfruit, and sweet orange citrus. Supportive notes of peach and apricot stone fruits are joined by a subtle bubblegum ester and a faint hint of creamy vanilla. The malt remains in the background with a clean, bready, and lightly grainy character from the Extra Pale malt.
Taste. An immediate collision of tropical and citrus fruit flavors, mirroring the aroma. Soft stone fruit layers lead into a mild, well-integrated bitterness that never becomes harsh. The Extra Pale malt provides a neutral base, allowing the fruity hop oils to shine. Finishes off-dry with a lingering impression of tropical juice and a touch of sweet vanilla.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable silkiness and softness provided by the addition of oats. Carbonation is moderate, enhancing the smooth, plush texture. No astringency or hop burn is present, with only a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
