This Double IPA showcases a vibrant tropical intensity driven by a focused blend of El Dorado, Bru-1, and Nelson Sauvin hops. The sensory experience opens with an assertive aromatic profile of ripe pineapple and candy-like stone fruit from the Bru-1 and El Dorado, while the Nelson Sauvin introduces sophisticated layers of white wine grapes and crushed gooseberry. On the palate, a crisp and neutral malt backbone provides the necessary structure for aggressive hopping to remain the focus, finishing dry with a lingering, clean bitterness. At 7.8% ABV, it offers a well-integrated warmth that supports its bold, resinous character without obscuring the bright, fruit-forward profile.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (SRM 7-9). Maintains good clarity with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves dense lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pineapple, pear, and watermelon, underscored by white wine grape and a light resinous diesel character. Low, neutral, grainy maltiness in the background with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors dominated by pineapple, gooseberry, and stone fruit. High bitterness that remains smooth rather than harsh. Low supportive malt character with a clean, cracker-like quality. The finish is medium-dry and clean, with a long-lasting hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly resinous texture. Medium carbonation provides a lively feel. A light, refined alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, without any hop-derived astringency.
