A sophisticated collaboration between Aslan and Bitburger, this German Pils presents a modern, dry-hopped evolution of the traditional style. The sensory profile is defined by an inviting interplay of classic bready foundations and vibrant, contemporary hop layers. Aromatics of sweet pine and zesty orange marmalade rise above a base of toasted bread crust and honeyed crackers. On the palate, a clean fermentation profile allows the nuanced citrus and resinous notes to shine against a crisp, lean malt body. It finishes with a refreshing, mild bitterness that invites repeated sips, successfully marrying Old World structure with New World aromatic intensity.
Appearance. Pours a brilliant, pale gold (3 SRM) with exceptional clarity and a dense, creamy white head that exhibits excellent retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics featuring prominent notes of sweet pine and orange marmalade from the dry-hopping process. These are supported by a clean, grainy-sweet malt character reminiscent of bread crust and toasted crackers. No diacetyl or sulfur is present, ensuring a very clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial malt flavors of doughy bread and light honey are quickly met by a wave of orange citrus and herbal hop character. The bitterness is firm but refined, balancing the lean malt profile without becoming harsh. The finish is remarkably dry and crisp, with lingering notes of pine and toasted grain in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. High carbonation provides a lively effervescence on the tongue. Despite the slightly elevated alcohol content for the style, it remains smooth with only a very subtle, integrated warmth.
