It leads with an intense aroma of espresso and bittersweet chocolate, rooted in heavily roasted malts. The bourbon influence is prominent, weaving threads of toasted oak, rich vanilla, and a hint of coconut through a tapestry of dark fruit esters like black currants and raisins. The palate is exceptionally viscous and velvety, where the spirit-tinged warmth of the alcohol is tempered by a firm bitterness, finishing with a lingering, decadent harmony of charred wood and cocoa.
Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque. Pours with a thick, deep tan head that shows moderate retention and leaves significant lacing. High viscosity is evident through visible legs on the glass.
