Arundel Brewery’s Dragonfly DIPA is a vibrant expression of the Double IPA style, crafted to celebrate the lively environment of the Brewhouse Project. It presents an intense sensory profile led by bright citrus zest, tropical pineapple, and a distinct resinous pine character typical of New World hops. The malt presence remains lean and supportive, offering a clean, grainy foundation that ensures the high bitterness remains crisp rather than harsh. With a medium-dry finish and a smooth, integrated 8% alcohol presence, this ale balances its potent hop intensity with remarkable drinkability, leaving a lingering, clean bitterness on the palate.

Appearance. 6–10 SRM. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color with a slight haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with dominant notes of grapefruit, crushed pine needles, and tropical fruit. A background of clean, neutral, grainy malt provides support. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters and no solventy alcohol.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of citrus peel and resinous pine. Bitterness is high but smooth, lacking harshness. The malt character is low, clean, and unobtrusive, supporting a dry finish. The aftertaste is long and hoppy with a lingering bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
