Citra To the Max is an immersive Hazy IPA that showcases the Citra hop through a multi-dimensional layering of cryo, whole leaf, T90 pellets, and Spectrum formats. The sensory experience is dominated by an intense bouquet of ripe mango, bright pink grapefruit, and zesty lime, supported by a subtle bready malt backbone. On the palate, the hop saturation is profound, delivering waves of tropical fruit and citrus oils with a restrained, soft bitterness. Its signature mega-thick texture provides a lush, creamy mouthfeel that carries the vibrant fruit character into a smooth, juicy finish. This expression perfectly captures the depth and complexity of a single-hop focus in a modern, hop-forward style.
Appearance. Deep straw to light gold (4–6 SRM). Opaque with a persistent, dense, meringue-like white head and significant lacing. Features a vibrant, hazy glow without visible particulates.
Aroma. High intensity. Massive hop character featuring layers of tropical mango, passion fruit, and crushed citrus leaves. Clean, bready, and slightly doughy malt presence provides a neutral base. Soft fruity esters complement the heavy dry-hop load.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of juicy tropical fruit and grapefruit. Hop flavor is very high, emphasizing the multifaceted Citra profile. Low to moderate bitterness that is exceptionally smooth and never harsh. Finishes off-dry with a lingering nectar-like fruitiness and clean, pale malt graininess.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Very low alcohol warmth is well-integrated. No astringency or hop burn despite the heavy hopping rates.
