Description This single variety Kingston Black is made from apples gathered by hand from three different traditional standard orchards located in as many valleys; the Grey, the Golden and the Wye; all containing magical old orchards which are havens for wildlife and biodiversity.

Rich in the apples’ own natural sugars this Kingston Black displays all of the classic characteristics of this vintage fruit; red apple skins, subtle tannins complementing earthy notes with a bright acidic finish.

Best served chilled. 750ml. 5.5%.

Pomme-Oh! is our take on an ancient fortified cider, first recorded in 1684 by Richard Haines as “Cider Royal”, it is much like the delicious Pommeaus made today in the north-west of France.

Pomme-Oh! was created from a blended bittersweet cider, pressed in 2021 and made from Dabinett apples harvested by hand in a small orchard on the outskirts of Hay-on-Wye. Following fermentation the cider was aged on its fine lees and then distilled using a wood-fired copper still to create a cider spirit in December 2022. After aging the spirit on oak for six months it was carefully blended with a single variety Kingston Black juice which was pressed in November 2022 and had been partially fermented to retain residual sweetness.

The result is a delicate golden orange aperitif, with the poised acidity of Kingston Black balanced perfectly by the sweetness and warmth of the spirit. Serve neat at room temperature or tempered with an ice cube. How quickly will I recieve my order?

Everything is packed and shipped by us (Tom and Lydia) at the cidery and we aim to get all orders out within two days of purchase. If you need your cider more quickly, get in touch and we'll do our best to help!

 Orders are shipped via APC on a next day delivery service.

Does the cider have a use by date?

Unopened and stored in a cool, dry place our cider will be good to drink for around three years  As a general rule, like wine, cider has excellent capacity for ageing.

If the cider has been opened we recommend sealing with a champagne stopper and storing in the fridge for no more than 24 hours.

Is the cider vegan friendly?

Yes, our only ingredient is apples!

Is the cider organic?

We only use organically grown, unsprayed apples in our cider. Due to the number of orchards we care for belonging to other people we are not able to offically certify ourselves organic at this point in time.

Does the cider contain sulphites?

Our cider does not contain sulphites, however our perries contain a trace amount.
