The intentional selection of Citra, Riwaka, and Strata hops drives a pungent sensory profile dominated by ripe passionfruit, zesty grapefruit, and underlying notes of dank resin. A soft, wheaty malt backbone provides a smooth canvas for these modern hops to shine, balancing the high fruit esters with a clean, bready grain character. The experience is incredibly juicy, mirroring the vibrant Bristol craft scene it celebrates, finishing with a restrained bitterness and a plush, velvety texture that invites another sip while showcasing the distinctive, oily depth of its premium hop blend.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4-6 SRM) with a thick, opaque haze. Features a persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and decorative lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring prominent passionfruit, guava, and citrus zest. Citra and Riwaka provide sharp grapefruit and lime notes, while Strata adds a complex tropical and slightly dank quality. Low bready-sweet malt supports the hops; fermentation esters are fruity and clean.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with massive passionfruit and citrus dominance. Malt flavor is low and bready, serving only to support the hop oils. Bitterness is low to medium-high but perceived as soft and integrated rather than sharp. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering tropical juice aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate. No harshness or hop-derived astringency is present; subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
