Arbor Ales CYMK
This bright American Pale Ale showcases a modern, multi-layered hop profile driven by the synergy of Citra, Azacca, Strata, and Centennial. A clean, pale malt base allows the hop character to lead, delivering a punchy bouquet of tropical passion fruit, ripe mango, and zesty grapefruit. The addition of Strata lends a subtle herbal complexity and berry-like depth, while Centennial provides a classic floral and piney backbone. Crisp and highly drinkable, it balances a firm bitterness with a light, grainy malt sweetness. The finish is remarkably clean, leaving a lingering impression of citrus peel and resinous hops on the palate.
Appearance. Pale golden (approximately 6 SRM) with a moderately large, frothy white head. Good retention results in light lacing; clarity is generally clear with a very faint hop-induced haze.
Aroma. Moderate to high hop intensity featuring distinct notes of grapefruit, tropical melon, and passion fruit. A low, neutral grainy maltiness supports the hops, complemented by a hint of pine and subtle fruity esters from a clean fermentation.
Taste. Initial hop-forward flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit lead into a supportive, low-intensity bready malt backbone. Bitterness is moderate and well-integrated. The fermentation character is clean, allowing hop-derived berry and herbal notes to emerge before a medium-dry, crisp finish. The aftertaste is clean, featuring lingering hop resins without harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation that enhances the crisp finish. Smooth texture with no perceived alcohol warmth or astringency.

Never shying away from trying out new ideas, they have an extensive back catalogue of recipes covering a vast array of styles and ABV’s. Though all different in their own way, the recipes were all born out of a desire to make beer that Arbor are proud of and importantly, that they really want to drink themselves.
