Arbànt Isaura is a refreshing take on the historic Grisette, a sessionable Saison born from the mining heritage of Belgium’s Hainaut region. This pale straw-colored ale opens with a vibrant, aromatic bouquet of cracked white pepper and zesty lemon peel, driven by a traditional Belgian yeast strain. The palate is defined by a rustic, grainy foundation of wheat, providing a soft texture that quickly gives way to a bone-dry finish. Bright, floral hop notes and a firm, cleansing bitterness ensure maximum refreshment, making it a highly attenuated and effervescent tribute to the thirst-quenching ales of the 19th century.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3-5 SRM). Large, frothy white head with excellent persistence and characteristic Belgian lace. Slightly hazy appearance due to the unfiltered nature and inclusion of wheat.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominant spicy yeast character resembling white pepper, complemented by fruity esters of lemon zest and unripe pear. Low floral and earthy hop notes present over a light, crackery, grainy wheat malt base.
Taste. Initially crisp and grainy with a soft wheat malt flavor. Mid-palate reveals spicy phenolics and citrus esters. Bitterness is moderate but feels assertive due to the very high level of attenuation. Finishes bone-dry with a lingering peppery and floral hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light body with a refreshing, spritzy character. Very high carbonation creates an effervescent sensation. No perceived alcohol warmth. Smooth but crisp with no astringency.
