This effervescent Specialty IPA, specifically a Brut IPA, presents a profile defined by extreme attenuation and a champagne-like character. The sensory experience is lead by an intense aromatic burst of tropical fruit and citrus. On the palate, the beer is bone-dry, reflecting the brewer's intent for maximum dryness and high carbonation. The lack of residual malt sweetness allows the hop-forward balance to shine, emphasizing bright notes of mango and white grape. Despite its 7.5% ABV, the body remains lean and agile, finishing crisp and clean with a refreshing, prickly carbonation that invites the next sip.
Appearance.Very pale straw to light gold (2-4 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Large, frothy white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma.High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, and white grape. Very low to neutral malt character, appearing slightly crackery. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters or phenols.
Taste.Initial impression is extremely dry and crisp. Hop flavor is moderate-high, showcasing citrus zest and tropical fruit. Malt flavor is very low, providing minimal support without any sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as firm due to the bone-dry finish. No harshness or astringency; clean, short aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Light body with very high, effervescent, and prickly carbonation. Subtle alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No creaminess or residual sugar weight.
