This West Coast IPA presents a vibrant sensory profile driven by the classic trifecta of Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops. The experience begins with an assertive burst of grapefruit, mango, and resinous pine, supported by a lean, bready malt backbone. Its clear, golden appearance sets the stage for a crisp, hop-forward palate where citrus zest and stone fruit flavors dominate. A firm, clean bitterness cuts through the subtle sweetness, leading to a bone-dry and refreshing finish. This collaboration captures the quintessential American IPA character, balancing intense hop aromatics with a smooth, sessionable drinkability that emphasizes brightness and aromatic complexity.
Appearance. Color is a brilliant medium gold (7 SRM). It features a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing and high clarity.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of grapefruit, orange peel, and mango. Background notes of resinous pine and a light blueberry ester. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral foundation. Fermentation profile is exceptionally clean.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and resinous. High hop flavor of citrus zest and tropical fruit persists over a low, cracker-like malt base. Bitterness is medium-high and sharp but clean. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering, bitter, and floral aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. No astringency.
