Anheuser-Busch Busch Ice

Eisbock 5.9 º
Busch Ice delivers a concentrated sensory experience through its exclusive ice-brewing process, which removes water crystals to sharpen the malt profile. The result is a smooth, full-bodied Eisbock that emphasizes deep, bready, and toasty malt characteristics. The aroma is rich and inviting, showcasing notes of caramel and faint dark fruits like grapes or plums, underscored by a clean fermentation profile. On the palate, a sweet maltiness takes center stage, balanced by a subtle yet definite alcohol warmth that provides a smooth, silky finish. This process yields a refined intensity, ensuring a luscious mouthfeel without the interference of hop bitterness.
Appearance. Deep copper to dark brown (SRM 17-30) with brilliant clarity and attractive ruby highlights. The off-white to deep ivory head shows moderate to poor retention, often leaving pronounced legs on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity malt character dominates the nose with bready, toasty, and caramel qualities. A definite but smooth alcohol presence is accompanied by faint dark fruit esters like plum or grape. Fermentation is clean with no hop aroma.
Taste. Rich and sweet malt flavors lead with toasty and Maillard-driven caramel notes. Significant dark fruit esters of plum and grape are present. Hop bitterness is very low, providing just enough balance to avoid a cloying character. No hop flavor is present. Finish is smooth and malty with a light dryness from the alcohol.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied with a smooth and silky texture. Carbonation is low. Noticeable alcohol warmth is present but remains well-integrated and smooth, lacking any harsh or sharp edges.
