The aroma is dominated by Citra's signature grapefruit and lime zest, beautifully layered with the unique blackcurrant, gooseberry, and lemongrass notes characteristic of African Queen. Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (SRM 7-9). Brilliant clarity with a tall, creamy, off-white head that shows excellent persistence and leaves thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring pronounced grapefruit, mango, and lime from the Citra, alongside distinct dark berry, gooseberry, and a hint of floral spice from the African Queen. Low, clean, cracker-like maltiness provides a neutral backdrop. No diacetyl or sulfur; very low yeast esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a wave of citrus and tropical fruit. Hop flavors of grapefruit peel and blackcurrant dominate. Bitterness is firm and clean, consistent with a high IBU count. A low, grainy malt sweetness provides minimal support before a decisively dry, crisp finish with a long, resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. No astringency; alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated.
