This Imperial Stout offers a decadent sensory experience, defined by its extended maturation in bourbon barrels for up to two years. The aroma is a luxurious blend of Madagascar Vanilla Beans and an intense dual-layered presence of toasted and raw coconut. On the palate, the beer evokes a waffle cone filled with bourbon-soaked German chocolate cake, punctuated by rich notes of burnt caramel and dark cocoa. The base malt provides a sturdy foundation of espresso and bittersweet chocolate, balancing the massive sweetness. At 15.5% ABV, the finish is exceptionally long and warming, seamlessly integrating the spirit-forward barrel character with a creamy, dessert-like complexity.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). It pours with a thick, viscous consistency that leaves heavy legs on the glass. The head is deep tan to dark brown, with moderate retention that settles into a creamy collar.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by rich Madagascar Vanilla Beans and a saturated coconut profile ranging from nutty toasted notes to sweet raw coconut. Underlying the adjuncts is a deep well of bourbon-soaked oak, dark chocolate, and black licorice. Low esters of dried figs are present; no hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression is profoundly sweet and indulgent. Flavors of German chocolate cake and toasted waffle cone lead, supported by a heavy-duty malt base of cocoa and charred grain. The bourbon barrel maturation adds layers of burnt caramel and oak tannins. Bitterness is moderate but masked by the high residual sugar. The finish is lingering and sweet with a resonant vanilla-coconut aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a thick, chewy, and syrupy texture. Carbonation is low, enhancing the beer's significant weight. A strong, smooth alcohol warmth is present, reflecting its high ABV, remaining velvety and luscious on the palate.
