This refreshing Wild Specialty Beer presents a vibrant interplay between mountain blueberry and tropical orange. Inspired by the creamy profile of a lassi, the sensory experience is defined by a bright, lactic tang that elevates the succulent berry notes and zesty citrus peel. A complex wild fermentation provides an underlying funk, bridging the gap between the tart fruit and a subtle, yogurt-like smoothness. Despite its complexity, the 4.7% ABV keeps the profile light and sessionable, finishing crisp with a lingering essence of sun-ripened fruit and soft acidity. It is a harmonious marriage of fruit-forward intensity and farmhouse-inspired character.
Appearance. Deep reddish-purple to violet hue with a hazy, opaque clarity consistent with a fruit-heavy lassi style. The head is moderate, light pink in color, with fair retention and slight lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma of fresh, jammy blueberries and bright orange zest. Distinct lactic sourness provides a yogurt-like tang, complemented by subtle earthy funk and floral esters from the wild fermentation. No significant hop or malt aromatics.
Taste. Initial tartness from lactic acidity and orange citrus. The blueberry flavor is pronounced and natural, leading into a mid-palate of tropical citrus pith. The wild yeast provides a dry, slightly funky complexity. Bitterness is virtually absent, allowing the fruit and acidity to balance a faint, creamy malt backbone. The finish is dry and fruit-forward.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a refreshing prickle that cuts through the fruit density. Alcohol warmth is non-existent, and there is a very low fruit-skin astringency in the finish.
