Purple Dragon is a vibrant Hazy IPA that captures the essence of the juicy substyle through a focused dry-hop pairing of Enigma and Simcoe. On the nose, intense notes of tropical melon and red currant from the Enigma hops meet the bright grapefruit and subtle forest pine of Simcoe, all supported by a clean, bready malt backdrop. The appearance is a glowing, opaque straw gold topped with a resilient white head. A silky, soft mouthfeel carries luscious flavors of apricot and papaya into a gentle, low-bitterness finish. This beer balances high hop saturation with a smooth drinkability that avoids any harsh resin or yeast bite.
