Fade To Green is a vibrant Hazy IPA defined by an explosive bouquet of tropical and citrus notes. The massive hop bill of Galaxy and Citra delivers waves of passion fruit and zesty lime, while Azacca contributes ripe mango highlights. Underlying these bright fruits, Simcoe and Chinook add a subtle layer of resinous pine, grounding the complex aromatic profile. The grist of Pilsner malt and flaked oats creates a soft, bready foundation that supports the intense hop saturation. It pours with a characteristically opaque glow and a lush mouthfeel, finishing with a gentle, integrated bitterness and a clean, juicy aftertaste.
Appearance.Straw to light gold (4-5 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze and a luminous shine. Pours with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head that shows excellent retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma.High intensity aromatics lead with overripe pineapple, mango, and passion fruit. Significant citrus notes of grapefruit and lime peel follow, complemented by a faint resinous, piney backdrop. The malt is clean and lightly bready, while the fermentation profile provides subtle, supportive peach-like esters.
Taste.Dominated by a heavy fruit-basket flavor featuring tropical stone fruit and bright citrus. The bitterness is low-to-moderate and exceptionally smooth, never harsh. A neutral, grainy malt backbone provides balance, leading to a soft, off-dry finish where hints of berry and pine linger pleasantly without any raw starch or hop burn.
Mouthfeel.Medium-full body with a silky, smooth texture provided by the flaked oats. Carbonation is moderate. No astringency or harshness is present, though a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is perceptible as the beer warms.
