This Imperial Stout presents a decadent sensory experience reminiscent of a liquid holiday dessert. The aroma is dominated by rich notes of bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee, layered with the spicy, fruity complexity of a Christmas cake—think cinnamon, nutmeg, and dark raisins. Barrel aging introduces deep accents of vanilla, toasted oak, and a hint of bourbon-soaked toffee. On the palate, a lush sweetness mirrors caramel glaze and dark stone fruits, balanced by a firm roasted bitterness. The 11.5% ABV provides a sophisticated warmth that integrates seamlessly with the viscous, velvety body, finishing with a long, indulgent trail of spiced cocoa and spirit-driven depth.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (SRM 40+). It supports a thick, creamy, deep tan head with moderate retention and significant lacing. High viscosity is apparent through distinct legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring heavy dark chocolate, espresso, and molasses. Pronounced spiced character suggests cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Esters are high, reminiscent of raisins and figs. Barrel aging adds prominent vanilla and a gentle bourbon-like spirit note. Hop aroma is absent.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of dark fruit cake and sweet malt. Flavors of bittersweet chocolate, toasted nuts, and caramel dominate the mid-palate.
