Rainbow Potion is a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that celebrates the lush, tropical intersection of fruit and fermentation. A collaborative effort between Amundsen and Basqueland, it pours with a distinct solar glow derived from heavy additions of mango and pineapple. The aromatic profile is dominated by sun-ripened tropical fruit, underscored by a sharp, zesty snap of ginger and a clean, lactic acidity. On the palate, the pulpy sweetness of mango is balanced by the tart, citrusy brightness of pineapple, while the ginger provides a refreshing, spicy warmth that lingers alongside a crisp, wild-fermented finish that remains highly drinkable despite its intensity.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7-10 SRM) with a heavy, persistent haze from fruit solids. A moderate, white head forms with fair retention, leaving light lacing despite the acidity.

Aroma. High intensity. Immediate, punchy aromas of ripe mango and fresh-cut pineapple dominate. The ginger adds a bright, spicy, and slightly earthy top note. Low doughy malt in the background. Fermentation character is clean and acidic with very low funky esters, focusing on sharp lactic notes that elevate the fruit.

Taste. Tart fruit-forward entry with luscious mango sweetness immediately countered by pineapple acidity. The ginger flavor is moderate, providing a spicy, tingly counterpoint to the tropical sugars. Malt is minimal, providing just enough structure with a crackery base. Bitterness is nearly nonexistent. The finish is dry, acidic, and crisp, with a lingering ginger zest and tropical fruit aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a slightly pulpy, creamy texture from the fruit additions. Moderate-high carbonation provides a lively, scrubbing sensation on the tongue. Very low alcohol warmth. No significant astringency despite the ginger and fruit skin presence.
