Aroma. High intensity featuring a complex malty-rich character of biscuit, toasted bread, and subtle coffee. Hop aroma is equally prominent, showcasing resinous pine and citrus zest, specifically grapefruit and orange. Fruity esters are low and clean.
Taste. The initial impression is of malty sweetness and toasted grain, quickly followed by assertive American hop flavors. Imperial malt provides a bready, biscuit layer while the Brown malt adds a light coffee roast without being acrid. Hop flavors of orange and grapefruit are pronounced. Bitterness is medium-high, balancing the malt richness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering aftertaste of resin and dark toast.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with moderate-high carbonation that provides a lively crispness. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated. It has a smooth texture with a slight resinous dryness on the tongue.
