Rubberduck Revolution is an assertive Double IPA that embodies the classic West Coast spirit with its unapologetic focus on hop intensity. This golden-hued ale opens with a punchy aromatic profile of grapefruit zest, sticky pine resin, and hints of tropical pineapple, supported by a lean, cracker-like malt backbone. Despite its formidable strength, the palate remains remarkably nimble, delivering a sharp, clean bitterness that cuts through the subtle warmth of the high alcohol content. The experience concludes with a bone-dry finish and a lingering resinous snap, showcasing a masterful balance between aggressive hopping and high drinkability without the heavy malt sweetness often found in stronger ales.

Appearance. Pours a brilliant deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM) with exceptional clarity. Topped by a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing as it recedes.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of citrus peel, resinous pine, and undercurrents of tropical fruit. The malt character is neutral and clean, presenting a faint grainy or cracker-like sweetness. Fermentation is very clean with no significant esters.

Taste. The initial impression is a massive wave of hop flavor mirroring the citrus and resinous notes of the aroma. Bitterness is very high but remains smooth rather than harsh, integrated into a medium-dry finish. Malt flavors are supportive and unobtrusive, offering light bready notes. A clean, smooth alcohol presence adds depth to the lingering, bitter aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the heavy hop oils. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crisp bite. A noticeable but well-restrained alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its strength.
