Amager Bryghus

Batch 3000 is a powerful Double IPA that balances technical precision with a modern, hazy profile. A robust malt base of Pilsner and Munich malts, softened by creamy Oat and Wheat, supports an intense hop assault. The use of London Fog yeast enhances fruity esters, weaving through a complex tapestry of Columbus, Idaho 7, Sabro, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Sorachi Ace hops. Expect a sensory explosion of tropical coconut, zesty lemon, and resinous pine, finishing with a structured bitterness. This celebratory brew showcases a luxurious, medium-full mouthfeel while maintaining the punchy, hop-forward character Amager Bryghus fans expect from such a milestone release.

Appearance. Hazy gold to light orange-copper in color; pours with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves dense lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of tropical fruit, coconut, and lemon-dill, supported by resinous pine and bright citrus. Low grainy malt sweetness and moderate fruity esters from the fermentation provide a supportive background.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of stone fruit, citrus, and herbal lemon dominate the palate. A medium-low supportive malt character of bread and light toast balances a firm, moderately high bitterness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste, showcasing a clean fermentation profile.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture from the addition of oats and wheat. Carbonation is moderate. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present, without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
