Amber Ale 5 º 24 IBU
This American Amber Ale pours an intense, deep amber with a persistent, creamy off-white head. The sensory profile is defined by a complex foundation of four distinct malts, delivering rich notes of sweet cereal and toasted caramel. While the style often leans toward New World hops, this artisanal expression utilizes noble hops to provide a refined, floral, and spicy counterpoint. The thirty-day bottle refermentation enhances the fruitiness and ensures a lively carbonation. Well-balanced and unfiltered, the palate concludes with a lingering toasted character and a smooth, medium-bodied finish that emphasizes malt integrity over aggressive bitterness.
Appearance. Intense amber to coppery-brown (SRM 12-16). Large, persistent, fine-beaded off-white head with good lacing. Slight haze present due to being unfiltered and bottle-conditioned.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a dominant malt character of caramel and toasted cereal. Low to moderate hop aroma featuring floral and spicy notes from noble hops. Light fruity esters are present, complemented by a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is malty and sweet, showcasing layers of caramel and rich cereal grain. Hop flavor is moderate, reflecting floral and earthy noble hop qualities. Bitterness is moderate and well-integrated (approx. 30 IBU), balancing the residual malt sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a notable toasted malt aftertaste and light fruity esters.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a refreshing effervescence. No perceptible alcohol warmth; free of astringency.
