Rug Pull is a vibrant Hazy IPA that leads with a powerful aromatic punch of tropical fruit and citrus. Utilizing a blend of Citra and El Dorado, it delivers intense notes of mango, pineapple, and sweet orange, while the Columbus hops provide a subtle resinous depth. The inclusion of flaked oats creates a cream profile, resulting in a luscious, pillowy texture that carries the bold, juicy hop character across the palate. It finishes with a soft, restrained bitterness, emphasizing a smooth, fruit-forward experience that highlights the brewer's intent for a big and bold, yet highly drinkable modern ale.
Appearance. Pale straw to deep gold (4-6 SRM) with a characteristic opaque, glowing haze. Topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head that shows excellent retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity with an explosion of tropical fruit—notably mango and pineapple from the El Dorado—and bright citrus zest from the Citra. A faint dank, herbal undertone from the Columbus adds complexity. The malt profile remains subtle with a clean, bready, and grainy presence, while yeast esters lean toward stone fruit, complementing the hops.
Taste. The initial impression is a burst of juicy fruit flavors, echoing the tropical and citrus notes of the aroma. Hop bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft, rounded malt backbone. A light, bready malt sweetness persists into the mid-palate. The finish is smooth and off-dry, with a lingering fruitiness and no harsh hop burn.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a distinctly soft, creamy texture derived from the oat-heavy grist. Carbonation is moderate, providing enough lift to prevent heaviness. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 7% ABV, but it never becomes hot or solventy.
