Almond 22 Torbata is a pioneering Italian interpretation of the British Strong Ale, distinguished by its significant peated character. This 7.9% ale pours a light amber with a lush beige foam. The sensory profile is dominated by evocative peat smoke, unfolding into sophisticated layers of leather, tobacco, and dried fruit. On the palate, a soft, velvety texture carries deep flavors of chestnut honey and syrupy fruit, balanced by a sturdy malt backbone. It masterfully bridges the gap between traditional British malt complexity and bold, smoky innovation, providing a lingering, warming finish that highlights its artisanal heritage.

Appearance. Light amber (12–15 SRM). Features a fine, generous beige head with good retention and light lacing. Generally clear.

Aroma. High intensity. Primary notes of peat smoke and earthiness are followed by complex secondary aromas of leather, tobacco, and dried fruits like raisins and dates. A background of malty sweetness and light floral honey is present, with subtle esters from the ale yeast.

Taste. Initial rich malt impression featuring chestnut honey and dark syrup-soaked fruits. The peat smoke is integrated throughout, adding depth without harshness. Low to moderate bitterness provides enough balance against the honeyed sweetness. Finish is smooth and moderately sweet with lingering smoke and tobacco notes.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full, chewy body with a smooth, soft texture. Moderate carbonation. Alcohol warmth is noticeable but well-integrated at 7.9% ABV, providing a pleasant glow.
