This Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer presents a decadent fusion of a classic Stout base with exotic additions. Visually striking with its deep, dark pour, it releases a high-intensity aroma where the herbal, resinous notes of cardamom seeds intertwine with toasted coconut and rich dark chocolate. On the palate, the interplay of roasted malts and black cocoa nibs provides a sophisticated bitterness that cuts through the creamy texture. Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony to black (SRM 35-40). Boasts a thick, persistent, deep brown creamy head with fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. The aroma is dominated by the spicy, resinous, and slightly citrusy perfume of cardamom seeds, layered over toasted coconut and rich dark chocolate. The base Stout provides supportive notes of roasted coffee and charred grain. Hop aroma is low and earthy, while fermentation character remains clean.

Taste. Initial impression of bittersweet chocolate and spicy cardamom. Medium-high roasted malt flavors of espresso and burnt toast are complemented by the nutty, tropical influence of coconut. The black cocoa nibs contribute a distinct, slightly alkaline bitterness that balances the faint sweetness. Cardamom provides a complex, herbal mid-palate. Finishes half-dry and clean with a lingering spice and roasted grain aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture enhanced by the coconut. Moderate carbonation. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated. No significant astringency despite the spice and cocoa additions.
