Appearance. Pale amber to light copper in color (approximately 10-12 SRM). Displays brilliant clarity and a low, off-white head with moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a primary malt character of toasted bread and light biscuits. The hop aroma is moderate, showing earthy, floral, and slightly spicy notes from the Aurora hops. Low fruity esters, reminiscent of red apple or pear, are present. No diacetyl or DMS perceived.
Taste. Initial impression is decidedly bitter but balanced by a light malt sweetness. Flavors of bready, biscuity malt and faint toffee are present mid-palate. Hop flavors are moderate, characterized by an earthy and floral quality. Bitterness is medium-high, leading into a very dry and clean finish. The aftertaste is marked by a lingering, pleasant hop bitterness and a touch of toasted grain.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with low to moderate carbonation. Despite the moderate ABV, alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated. The mouthfeel is smooth with no astringency.
