Waves is a vibrant American IPA that masterfully showcases a modern hop trifecta. The sensory experience is led by a bright aromatic burst of mandarin orange and citrus zest from the Eclipse hops, seamlessly integrated with the signature blueberry and tropical mango notes of Mosaic. A distinct layer of creamy coconut and subtle cedar from Sabro adds an exotic complexity rarely found in the style. The palate delivers a firm, clean bitterness supported by a lean, bready malt backbone, leading to a crisp and refreshing finish that lingers with resinous pine and stone fruit character.
Appearance. Medium gold to light amber (approx. 7 SRM) with a brilliant clarity and a moderate, frothy white head that exhibits good persistence and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent mandarin, mango, and tropical berry. Subtle coconut and cedar notes provide a unique twist. Malt is low and clean, reminiscent of fresh grain, with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of citrus and pineapple followed by a firm, assertive bitterness. The malt flavor is low, providing a clean, slightly crackery support. Hop flavors of mango, berry, and coconut are expressive throughout, finishing dry with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Carbonation is medium-high, creating a lively mouthfeel. A very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
