This West Coast Session IPA presents a bright, hop-forward profile that belies its approachable strength. An intricate blend of HBC 638 and El Dorado hops drives vibrant notes of sweet mango, pineapple, and subtle berry, while Ahtanum contributes a classic floral grapefruit lift. Idaho 7 rounds out the experience with a resinous pine and stone fruit depth. Supported by a lean, grainy malt base, the palate is crisp and refreshing. The finish is decisively dry and clean, characteristic of the style, leaving a lingering, pleasant bitterness that invites another sip of this aromatically charged American IPA.
Appearance. Clear, pale gold to light amber with brilliant clarity. Topped by a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex bouquet of tropical pineapple and mango from El Dorado, intertwined with citrusy grapefruit and floral notes of Ahtanum. Hints of resinous pine and dark berry from Idaho 7 and HBC 638 emerge over a low, clean, crackery malt background.
Taste. Initial hop impact is citrusy and tropical, highlighting stone fruit and melon. The bitterness is firm and clean, balanced by a very low, bready malt presence. Distinct flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, and a touch of herbal pine from the hops persist into a dry, crisp finish with a hoppy, bitter aftertaste and clean fermentation profile.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a refreshing bite, without any astringency or noticeable alcohol warmth.
