American IPA 6.5 º
Take In the View is a modern American IPA that showcases the vibrant intersection of Vista CGX and Cashmere hops. The concentrated punch of Vista CGX drives a lush profile of ripe peach, honeydew melon, and tropical stone fruit, while the Cashmere addition provides a delicate top note of zesty lime and a hint of herbal complexity. Beneath this intense hop bouquet lies a lean, grainy malt base that ensures the finish remains crisp and dry. This expressive ale balances firm bitterness with a smooth, approachable texture, embodying the hop-forward essence of the style while highlighting innovative hop processing techniques.
Appearance. Deep gold color (7 SRM). Clear with a very slight haze. Features a medium-sized, white head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by stone fruit and tropical notes. Vista CGX contributes vivid peach and nectarine scents, paired with the sweet melon and lime zest of Cashmere. A background of clean, crackery malt and neutral fermentation allows the hops to remain the primary focus.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus. Flavors of ripe melon, apricot, and lemon peel transition into a firm, clean bitterness that provides structure without harshness. The malt is supportive and slightly bready, finishing dry to medium-dry with a lingering aftertaste of resinous hop oils and citrus pith.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-integrated texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crisp, refreshing prickle. Features a very light, smooth alcohol warmth consistent with its strength.
