Alefarm Brewing Strains

Strains is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases an intricate layering of Cashmere, Citra BBC, Motueka, and Sabro hops. The aromatic profile is an explosion of tropical lime and bright lemon zest driven by the Motueka, seamlessly integrated with the intense grapefruit and mango character of Citra BBC. Cashmere provides delicate layers of melon and soft peach, while Sabro adds a distinctive, creamy coconut nuance and hints of stone fruit. On the palate, a firm bitterness provides structure against a lean, neutral malt base, resulting in a dry, resinous finish that remains remarkably smooth despite its strength.
Appearance. Gold to pale orange in color (SRM 7). The beer maintains a large, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing and a slight, modern haze.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of grapefruit, lime zest, and ripe mango. Distinct tropical fruit esters and a unique coconut and cream-like character are present, supported by a very low, neutral, grainy malt background.
Taste. Initial impression is an intense burst of tropical fruit, specifically pineapple and Meyer lemon, followed by a creamy stone fruit and coconut mid-palate. Moderately high bitterness is firm but smooth, lacking harshness. The malt flavor is low and clean, allowing for a dry to medium-dry finish with a lingering hoppy, resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp lift, accompanied by a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth and no hop-derived astringency.
