Rosaline is an innovative American IPA that beautifully marries a modern hop profile with botanical tea infusions. A vibrant pink-gold pour delivers an enticing bouquet where the tropical passionfruit of Galaxy and bright melon of Cashmere hops intermingle with the refined white wine notes of Hallertau Blanc. This hop medley is deepened by the earthy, woody warmth of rooibos tea and the tart, floral lift of hibiscus. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt backbone supports a dry, refreshing wave of tropical fruit, balanced by a pleasant herbal bitterness and a crisp, slightly tart finish.
Appearance. Pours a unique medium gold with a distinct pinkish-rose hue. Excellent clarity with a very slight haze from the botanical infusions. Crowns with a medium-sized, off-white head exhibiting a faint pink cast, possessing good retention and leaving delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring prominent tropical notes of passionfruit and peach, citrusy lemon-lime, and elderflower. This hop profile is layered with a woody, sweet-spiced rooibos tea character and a tart, floral hibiscus note. Supported by low, clean, grainy-sweet malts with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is dry and hop-forward, showcasing vibrant flavors of gooseberry, melon, and tropical fruits. The mid-palate introduces a subtle tart, cranberry-like hibiscus flavor and earthy, herbal rooibos undertones. Bittering is medium-high but clean. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy and botanically complex aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, accentuating the dry finish. Features a minor, pleasant drying tea astringency, but no harshness. Very light, clean alcohol warmth is present.
