This West Coast Double IPA presents a vivid sensory landscape led by a punchy hop trio. Columbus Lupomax delivers a foundational layer of resinous pine and dank earthiness, while BRU-1 imparts distinct, vibrant notes of ripe pineapple. Azacca further elevates the profile with waves of mango and citrus zest. The aroma is intense yet clean, supported by a subtle, neutral malt backbone that allows the hops to remain the focal point. On the palate, a firm bitterness provides structure, leading to a dry, crisp finish characteristic of the style. Projections balances its strength with a lean body and bright carbonation, offering a modern, hop-forward experience.
Appearance. Clear, deep gold to pale orange with a moderate, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring piney resin and dankness from Columbus Lupomax, complemented by fresh pineapple from BRU-1 and tropical mango notes from Azacca. Low, neutral grainy malt in the background; clean fermentation profile with a hint of alcohol warmth.
Taste. Aggressive hop flavor mirroring the aroma with layers of resin, tropical fruit, and citrus. High bitterness that is firm but clean, not harsh. Low, supportive malt with a touch of cracker-like graininess. Very dry finish with a long-lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Moderate to high carbonation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without being hot. No astringency.
