This American IPA presents a sophisticated interplay between bright hops and artisanal coffee. The aromatic profile is led by the vibrant strawberry and melon notes of Belma, complemented by the citrus-forward punch of Amarillo and the complex tropical berry character of Mosaic. The addition of Mwiria coffee beans introduces a layer of refined acidity and dark fruit rather than heavy roast, harmonizing perfectly with the hop-derived berry and stone fruit qualities. It finishes with a clean, supportive malt base and a firm but integrated bitterness, offering a contemporary take on the style that emphasizes fruit-forward complexity over traditional roasted coffee profiles.
Appearance. Color is deep gold to light amber (8-10 SRM). Clear to slightly hazy with a medium-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves moderate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity with prominent citrus and grapefruit from Amarillo, paired with the blueberry and tropical fruit notes of Mosaic. The Mwiria coffee adds distinctive blackcurrant and floral aromatics. Low, clean, bready malt supports the hop and coffee layers with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Leading with bright citrus and melon flavors from Belma and Amarillo. The mid-palate reveals the berry-like complexity of the Mwiria coffee, blending seamlessly with the stone fruit character of Mosaic. Bitterness is medium-high and clean, followed by a dry, crisp finish with a lingering note of orange zest and light coffee acidity.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing prickle. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated; no significant astringency from the coffee or hops.
