Needless To Say is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop profile led by Talus, Citra, and Eclipse. The sensory experience begins with an intense bouquet of pink grapefruit and dried roses from the Talus, layered over the bright lime and mango notes characteristic of Citra. Eclipse adds a distinct mandarin orange zest and fresh pine undercurrent. The palate is defined by a firm bitterness that balances a lean, cracker-like malt base, finishing dry and crisp despite its strength. It delivers a punchy hop saturation with a smooth, well-integrated alcohol presence, embodying a modern, fruit-forward approach to the style.
Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light orange with a moderate, persistent white head that leaves fine lacing. Displays a soft, uniform haze characteristic of modern interpretations.
Aroma. Intense hop-forward aroma featuring prominent pink grapefruit and tropical mango from the Citra and Talus, complemented by the mandarin citrus of Eclipse. Subtle floral undertones of rose and a hint of resinous pine sit above a neutral, grainy malt background.
Taste. Initial flavors of zesty mandarin and tropical stone fruit transition into a firm, moderately high bitterness. The Talus provides a unique floral complexity and light herbal notes. Malt presence is low and supportive, offering a clean, bready foundation. The finish is dry with a lingering, clean resinous aftertaste.
