Mountains is a vibrant sensory journey characteristic of a modern Double IPA. The aroma is led by an intense, multi-layered hop profile driven by heavy double dry-hopping with Citra, Azacca, Idaho 7, and Galaxy. These varieties deliver a saturated bouquet of ripe mango, passion fruit, and bright citrus zest, underpinned by a subtle resinous depth. The palate follows with high-intensity tropical fruit flavors and a firm, clean bitterness that balances a lean, neutral malt backbone. Despite its 8.2% ABV, the finish remains remarkably dry and crisp, showcasing the brewer’s intent for high drinkability without the heavy caramel weight of more traditional examples.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (SRM 7-10); moderate-sized, persistent, white head with dense lacing; slight haze present due to heavy dry-hop additions.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passion fruit and pineapple from Galaxy and Azacca, paired with grapefruit zest from Citra. Idaho 7 adds a complex layer of pine and stone fruit. Malt is low and neutral, providing a light grainy background. Clean fermentation with no significant esters.

Taste. Strong hop flavors of tropical fruit and citrus dominate the initial impression. A supportive, clean, soft malt character allows the hop complexity to shine. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth and free of harshness. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, resinous hop aftertaste and a touch of clean alcohol.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crisp lift to the palate. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with no hop-derived astringency.
