Mental Decay is a vibrant Double IPA that delivers an intense sensory experience driven by a trio of powerhouse hops. Bright aromas of tropical mango and mixed berries from Mosaic and Citra lead the way, supported by the deep resinous pine and passion fruit notes of Simcoe. This ale pours a brilliant gold with a persistent white head, offering a clean, neutral malt backbone that allows the hop complexity to shine. On the palate, a firm bitterness balances the moderate alcohol strength, culminating in a dry, crisp finish. It represents a masterfully balanced strong ale where hop intensity is prioritized over malt sweetness and body.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color with good clarity. Features a moderate-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit and lime zest from Citra, layered with blueberry and tropical papaya from Mosaic.
