Lost & Found is a vibrant American IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop blend of Belma, Strata, and Amarillo. The sensory experience opens with an expressive bouquet of ripe strawberry and sweet melon driven by the Belma, layered over the dank passion fruit and ruby grapefruit notes characteristic of Strata. Amarillo rounds out the profile with bright orange zest and a delicate floral lift. A clean, crackery malt base provides a lean backbone for the assertive bitterness to persist through a crisp, dry finish. At 6.5% ABV, it delivers a vibrant, hop-forward character that remains remarkably refreshing, balanced, and aromatically complex.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber in color. Pours with brilliant clarity and a thick, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of fresh strawberry, tropical passion fruit, and bright citrus peel. Subtle resinous and dank undertones are present. The malt character is low and clean, offering a faint grainy-sweet support with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit and berry flavors, specifically strawberry and grapefruit. The malt provides a light toasted bread flavor. Bitterness is firm and medium-high, balancing the intense hop-derived fruitiness. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering, clean, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. There is a very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any harshness or astringency.
