Horizons is a luminous American IPA that captures a modern hop profile through the use of Ella, Mosaic, and Vic Secret. The sensory experience begins with an intense bouquet of tropical fruit, where Mosaic imparts signature notes of blueberry and stone fruit. Vic Secret elevates the profile with bright bursts of pineapple and passionfruit, while Ella provides a delicate floral and spicy grapefruit finish. A clean, restrained malt base allows the hop-derived oils to remain front and center. The mouthfeel is smooth yet crisp, leading to a decidedly dry, resinous finish that emphasizes the beer’s sophisticated bitterness and fruit-forward complexity.
Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, off-white head that shows excellent persistence and leaves thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passionfruit, pineapple, and blueberry. Substantial citrus peel and light resinous pine are present. A low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral background for the hops. Fermentation profile is clean with very low yeast esters.
Taste. High hop flavor mirroring the aroma with layers of tropical fruit, stone fruit, and grapefruit. Bitterness is medium-high and firm, but not harsh. The malt character is low and clean, offering a light cracker-like support. The finish is dry with a lingering, hoppy, and pleasantly bitter aftertaste that emphasizes citrus zest and pine.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp sensation. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated, with no detectable astringency from the high hop loading.
