Hold Fast is a refined Czech Premium Pale Lager that marries traditional decoction mashing with a clean German yeast profile. The sensory experience begins with a deep golden hue and a dense, creamy head. On the nose, bready-rich malt notes from the decoction process intertwine with the delicate floral and herbal aromas of Saaz and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops. The palate delivers a rounded malt complexity, balanced by a soft yet persistent bitterness from Perle and Saaz. This collaboration offers a smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel, finishing with a clean, lingering herbal spice that invites another sip, showcasing a masterful blend of Czech and German brewing heritage.
Appearance. Deep gold (5–6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, long-lasting, creamy white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent bready and rich malt character from decoction. Medium-high hop bouquet featuring spicy Saaz, floral Hallertau Mittelfrüh, and slightly minty Perle notes. Clean fermentation with no diacetyl or fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression of rich, complex bready maltiness. Moderate hop bitterness that is soft and rounded, never harsh. Mid-palate reveals floral and spicy hop flavors of Saaz and Hallertau Mittelfrüh. The finish is long and well-balanced between malt depth and herbal hop character, drying out enough to remain refreshing.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, rounded texture. Moderate carbonation. Smooth finish with no astringency and negligible alcohol warmth.
