Copenhagen Oasis is a vibrant American IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop blend of Mosaic, Idaho 7, Enigma, and Ekuanot. Aromas of ripe papaya and lime zest from Ekuanot intermingle with the signature blueberry and tropical notes of Mosaic. The addition of Idaho 7 provides a firm resinous undertone and stone fruit accents, while Enigma contributes unique layers of red currant and melon. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt base allows these complex hop flavors to dominate, leading to a crisp, dry finish. This beer strikes a masterful balance between intense fruity aromatics and a refreshing, hop-forward bitterness.
Appearance. Deep gold color (approximately 7 SRM) with excellent clarity. It features a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex bouquet of tropical fruit, berries, and citrus. Prominent notes of papaya, blueberry, and melon are supported by a subtle piney resin. Low, clean, bready malt sweetness provides a neutral background for the hop character.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and lime. Medium-high bitterness is well-integrated, supporting flavors of stone fruit and red currant. The malt profile is light and grainy with a touch of toasted cracker. Finishes medium-dry and clean with a lingering, pleasant hoppy aftertaste of citrus peel and pine.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a refreshing prickle on the tongue. No harsh astringency or noticeable alcohol warmth.
