This Foreign Extra Stout pours a deep, nearly opaque black with a dense, creamy tan head. The sensory profile is dominated by heavily roasted malts, delivering an intense bouquet of dark chocolate and freshly ground coffee. On the palate, the robust roasted grain character provides a rich foundation of bittersweet cocoa and lightly burnt toast, balanced by a firm hop bitterness and a moderately dry finish. Despite its strength, the mouthfeel remains smooth and velvety, showcasing the clean, top-fermented character typical of Ale-Mania Bonn. Appearance. Very deep brown to black (35–40 SRM); opaque. Large, tan, creamy head with excellent retention and lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity roast character reminiscent of dark chocolate and espresso. Low fruity esters and a subtle, earthy hop presence. Clean fermentation profile with no diacetyl.

Taste. Initial impression is deeply roasted grain and dark chocolate. Medium-high bitterness balances a light malt sweetness. Mid-palate reveals coffee-like notes without a sharp, acrid bite. Finishes moderately dry with a lingering roasted malt aftertaste.
