Ale-Mania Sistamania
Sistamania is a vibrant Hazy IPA that marries traditional English Pale Ale malts with a modern, velvety texture derived from significant additions of wheat and oat malts. The sensory profile is headlined by the distinctive Equanot hops, which deliver a complex and surprising bouquet of tropical papaya, zesty lime, and subtle berry undertones. At 7% ABV, it offers a substantial presence while maintaining the signature soft, juicy mouthfeel of the style. The malt base provides a subtle, bready foundation that supports the intense fruit-forward hop character without adding distracting caramel notes, resulting in a balanced and approachable modern ale with a clean finish.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (4-6 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that provides a luminous quality. Features a persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring tropical papaya, melon, and citrus lime from the Equanot hops. A supportive background of bready, grainy malt is present, complemented by light fruity fermentation esters and a very subtle alcohol note.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with lime and tropical fruit. Low to medium bready malt flavor provides a solid base. Perceived bitterness is moderate but restrained by the full body, leading to an off-dry, smooth finish without any hop harshness or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture from the wheat and oats. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, with no harshness or raw starch character.
