It is a clean, hop-forward lager that maintains traditional crispness while emphasizing a punchy, aromatic complexity.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (3 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a creamy, long-lasting white head and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring lemon zest, floral blossoms, and spicy herbs from the Saazer and Ahtanum hops. Low grainy-sweet, cracker-like malt character is present. Clean fermentation profile with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial light doughy malt flavor is rapidly overtaken by a firm hop bitterness. Hop flavors of citrus peel, pine resin, and dried herbs from Columbus and Centennial predominate. Decidedly bitter balance with a clean, flinty fermentation character. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering spicy hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation, creating a spritzy and refreshing mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth. Crisp finish with a slight mineral sharpness.
