Gose 5 º 14 IBU
Ale-Mania’s Aprigose offers a vibrant, sensory twist on the historical Gose by integrating fermented apricot mark into the traditional wheat base. The aroma is led by a bright, stone-fruit perfume and a citrusy lift from coriander, underpinned by a faint, saline sea-breeze quality. On the palate, a gentle lactic acidity provides a refreshing snap that balances the natural fruit character. The pilsner and wheat malts offer a soft, bready foundation, while the salt adds a savory roundness that enhances the apricot’s depth. It finishes crisp and bone-dry, leaving a lingering impression of sun-ripened fruit and a mouthwatering, effervescent tingle.
Appearance. Deep gold with a pale orange tint (5-7 SRM); moderate to tall white head with good retention and tight bubbles; noticeably hazy and unfiltered.
Aroma. Moderate-high intensity featuring fresh apricot and stone fruit esters, complemented by a citrusy coriander spice and a clean, lemony lactic tartness; malt presents as soft doughy wheat with a subtle trace of sea salt.
Taste. Initial tartness is medium-low, leading into a succulent apricot flavor and bready wheat malt; salt is restrained but provides a savory, round character; very low bitterness with no hop flavor; finishes dry and refreshing with a lingering fruit skin acidity.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high, effervescent carbonation; the salt imparts a slightly tingly, mouthwatering quality and a smooth roundness; very low alcohol warmth.
