Aldanis Beer Cycle IPA

The Aldanis Beer Cycle IPA presents a distinctively malt-forward interpretation of the American IPA style. Its deep amber hue is derived from a strategic addition of roasted barley, which introduces a rich, lingering caramel sweetness and subtle toasted complexity. This robust malt backbone balances a moderate, approachable hop bitterness that avoids being abrasive on the palate. While maintaining the style's signature hoppy character, the interplay between the toasted grain and the clean fermentation profile creates a balanced experience with a smooth, amber-driven depth. The result is a profile where the hops and caramel-forward malts coexist harmoniously through a lingering finish.
Appearance. Deep amber to light reddish-copper (12–14 SRM). Clear to brilliant clarity. Forms a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop aroma featuring classic American citrus and pine. The malt presence is more pronounced than average for the style, showcasing distinct caramel and toasted grain notes from the roasted barley. Clean fermentation profile with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression of sweet caramel and toasted malt, quickly followed by a medium hop bitterness. Hop flavors of grapefruit and resin support the malt. The roasted barley provides a prolonged, toasted finish. Bitterness is firm but not invasive (approximately 50 IBU), balancing the sweetness. Finish is medium-dry with a lingering malty-bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Moderate to medium-high carbonation provides a crisp lift. Very low alcohol warmth is well-integrated at 6% ABV. No harshness or astringency.
Sensory Profile. 12345Alcohol WarmthBodyBitternessSweetnessFruitiness
