Despite the high 8% ABV, the profile remains refreshing, balancing a sharp acidity with subtle, dark-sugar sweetness. The experience is an intricate interplay of cocktail-inspired botanicals and a clean, puckering sour base that finishes crisp and lingeringly spiced.
Appearance. Deep amber to mahogany (15-20 SRM); hazy appearance with a moderate, off-white head and fair retention; highly effervescent.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant sharp lactic sourness and bright lemon citrus; strong botanical notes of piney juniper and spiced cola (cinnamon, nutmeg); subtle white rum esters and faint vanilla; no hop aroma; low grainy malt presence.
Taste. Initial sharp, clean lactic acidity dominates; complex flavors of tart lemon and herbal juniper follow; mid-palate reveals cola spice and a hint of white rum character; no hop bitterness (very low IBU); finish is off-dry and lingering with botanical spice; high complexity with no acetic notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium body; moderate-high carbonation; noticeable alcohol warmth due to the higher gravity; crisp acidity; very low astringency.
