Altvater 10 Originál is a vibrant expression of a Czech Premium Pale Lager, crafted to offer substantial character within a refreshing, lower-alcohol framework. The sensory profile is defined by a deep bready richness from traditional Czech malt, complemented by the elegant, spicy, and floral aromatics of Saaz hops. On the palate, it delivers a rounded bitterness that is firm yet smooth, balancing the malt’s honey-like sweetness. Despite being a 'ten-degree' beer, it maintains a satisfying medium body and a creamy texture, culminating in a clean, lingering finish that highlights the classic harmony between noble hops and soft water.
Appearance. Deep yellow to polished gold (4–6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. It pours with a dense, long-lasting, and creamy white head that leaves intricate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring rich, bready malt and a complex bouquet of spicy and floral hops. The fermentation profile is very clean, though a very low hint of diacetyl or subtle fruity esters may be present, consistent with traditional Czech lager yeast.
